Ok .. I’m worried now that this will be a let down to all of you. I had no less than 4 of you call me yesterday trying to convince me that “I could tell them, they wouldnt tell everyone else”. One of you actually guessed it while on the phone… lol
I have been asked to be a speaker at the Search Engine Strategies Conference in San jose in August. It may not seem like a big deal to soome, but this is the largest national conference in my industry and speaking here puts you in the national spotlight.

That is great, John. I think you mentioned this to me quite awhile ago as a possiblity. I wish I understood more of what you’re talking about with the Search stuff, but I know it’s a special field. Congratulations! You make me proud. When you have time, will you tell us all more about the speech and the conference. Will they fly you out there? How long will you be there? Will you bring me souvier? I need to know those kinds of things.

Over the years I have done a lot of presentations. Mostly I do presentations of software design proposals, or software prototypes. I call them dog and pony shows, and I always get nervous. Sweaty palms nervous. I get jazzed on those occasions when the audience reacts favorably.
BTW, I need to know if you liked the Superman movie!
